A Weekend I Never Wanted to (B)end

This past weekend while my friends traveled to another state to enjoy good music, great weather, and even better company; my broke self had the pleasure of visiting Bend, Oregon. Though I have many friends who reside in Bend, I had little to no idea of what this magical place was like. I was enlightened to find out that Bend is a quiet little town full of beautiful nature and pleasant people. I spent my time there walking along the Deschutes river trail, sipping on iced coffee at outdoor coffee shops, and window-shopping through streets filled with jewelry boutiques and antique shops. Not only was this a refreshing change of scenery, but I also got to eat countless home cooked meals (for a broke college kid living in a sorority house this is the equivalent of a blessing). While I wasn’t relaxing and kicking my feet back I was white water rafting on a very cold but very beautiful river. At times I thought to myself, “I could totally live here!” but despite how much lust I felt for this little city, I think it may be just a bit too quiet for my loud personality. Here’s a little peek on my time in my new favorite town, enjoy!
